Three Things to Look for in a CarCareCenter

Have you recently moved to town or is your vehicle out of the manufacturer warranty period?  Are you looking for an automotive repair facility that you can trust to take care of your vehicle so it will be safe for you and your family to ride in everyday?  Well look no further, read my list of considerations before you choose a new repair center.

  1. Length of time the repair center has been in business, especially at that location.  The longer they have been established, the more likely they will be there in the future to honor a warranty on repairs.  Additionally, they can provide customer testimonials from satisfied clients.  What type of payments does the facility accept?
  2. What paperwork will be provided to you after your vehicle has been serviced?  Will you receive a hand written bill or a computer generated one?  Does the repair facility keep accurate computer records on file?  Does the shop provide digital pictures of the services that are recommended?  Will you receive a written copy of the inspection sheet?  The more documentation that you receive, the more likely you will be to trust the repair facility, and the more likely they will stand behind their work.
  3. Do they employ ASE certified technicians?  The Automotive Service of Excellence (ASE) is an industry recognized standard for training of automotive professionals.  Technicians are very proud of these certifications and they will usually be posted prominently in the repair facility.  It proves to the customer that they have completed the necessary training needed to service your vehicle in the best way possible.
